BHIM introduces UPI Circle delegation for safer payments
NPCI BHIM Services Limited (NBSL) has rolled out UPI Circle Full Delegation on the BHIM app, letting users allow trusted contacts to make UPI payments on their behalf for up to ₹15,000. This feature is set to benefit senior citizens who hesitate with digital payments and young adults who need safe, parent-controlled access for daily or education expenses. It streamlines joint and family financial handling, ensuring complete clarity and oversight.
How it works?
With UPI Circle Full Delegation, a primary user can let a secondary user make UPI payments from their account. The primary user can fix a monthly limit of ₹15,000 and set the delegation to last for up to 5 years.
This BHIM feature enables smoother daily digital payments for families, dependents, and small business staff while maintaining clear oversight. With Full Delegation, trusted users can make secure payments without needing their own bank-linked UPI ID or account.
